Have you read Krakatoa The Day The World Exploded: August 27, 1883 by Simon Winchester?

No I have not.  Is it a good read?

Are you going to post a picture?

Aviators. Cool.

Ehhhh...OK.

My new sunglasses.  I like 'em.  The old ones squeezed my enormous head.

They will always see that in my eyes.
I am the passion; I am the warfare.
I will never stop...
always constant, accurate, and intense."

I usually wear shorts 8 - 9 months of the year.  For long pants, I make sure they have a decent sized hem.  I cut a slit in the hem and put elastic in, whip the elastic closed and sew the slit closed.  I don't have to worry about the material shrinking and having high water pants.  I can hem a pair of pants in less than 10 minutes this way.

I do look as if I'm wearing harem pants, but at my age I don't care.  Having pants hemmed this way keeps the cold out in the winter (cold in New Orleans?   :facepalm2:) and the mosquitos out in the summertime.

It has to get down to about 45 (7) in the daytime before I stop wearing shorts.  The only reason I stop wearing them is that it makes the PR uncomfortable that she has a weird mom.  I really don't see any difference between shorts and a mini-skirt as far as keeping warm.

We're getting 100F (50C) degree heat index days now.  That means the heat + the humidity makes it feel that hot.  Sort of a wind chill factor for the tropics.

I must hang my head in shame as I've seen neither.

He's mentioned it a few times.  ;)

I can't read the intent of others very well.  I'm always a little suspicious that such remarks are manipulative in nature.  Isn't that awful?  My first thought is always, "What do you want and why can't you just ask me?"  He's finally starting to realize that if he is not direct with me I won't be receptive.  I will either ignore his attempts at manipulation or, depending on my mood at the time, I may turn into a RAGING PTERODACTYL.

I don't want anything.
SKYBLUE suggested it and was wondering if its true.

I tell my wife that she is all the time.
Maybe too much.
I think she takes it for granted. ;)
Misunderstood.
