Why not use a debit card instead? I do. And I've saved up almost half a grand. Which I'm going to spend on the lab. I want to try and build an ion-trap mass spec. Using fourier-transform cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry and using a Penning trap or orbitrap magnetic confinement setup for the ion packets to be analyzed.

It can be a long while (up to 8 weeks) before the payment is due.  Since it's probably a company credit card, odeon isn't out of pocket at any time.

The transaction log mercifully does not mention the alcoholic beverages. :zoinks:
The itemized receipt would note drinks; any company that cares about not paying for alcohol with meals will require the itemized receipt, or simply use an expense cap.

I asked my boss and he's fine with the paperwork I do provide. :zoinks:

Submit a hundred dollar dinner tab for one person and see what he says. The system we use is really good; it's an online reporting system so no paperwork involved. Users submit scans of receipts, or upload a photo of it by phone ap. Though the requirement of itemized meal receipts has been something new in the past year or so.

Not sure what to do for my second foreign holiday of the year.  Spain or Portugal?  Dear me, life is so tough.

I have some cardboard boxes to cut up and put in my windows to fill space next to my
air conditioners, but cutting them to size is work, and I might have to overlap some pieces.  :'(

My car is 4 years old.

My smartphone is 4.5 years old, and my computer is 8 years old.  :'(

My air conditioner was making me chilly, so I had to turn it down.  Manually.  :'(

As if that weren't bad enough ... I had to pause the song I was listening to on my computer
so I could get out of my chair to turn the air conditioner back on.  Who can live this way?  :'(

You had to get out of your chair? That's horrible.

It reminds me of my everyday struggles with the satellite receiver remote. You know, I have to angle it in a specific way to make contact with the receiver, and it's so uncomfortable.

Sometimes I try to use the cable remote and it won't work because something on the table is in the way.
Therefore I am forced to move things out of the way, which can disrupt my dinner.  It's just so wrong.  :'(

Yesterday, the TV wouldn't connect to the WiFi and I couldn't watch Netflix. I had to reconfigure the connection using the remote.

When I got to the classroom at college this morning, I found that someone had already taken the chair that I like. I had to make do and sit in another chair.
