Now I want coffee.

Using disposable filters. And, there are disposable filters to fit that filter of yours too, QV.

* goes to kitchen to make some beautiful hand dripped coffee *

Ah, but Grandma Janin, her daughter, Grandma Teenie and my Mom were all Capricorns.  The idea of anything disposable never entered their minds.  I don't think my Mom ever used a whole roll of paper towels in her life.

Making coffee, hand- or machine dripped, is still that common in the Netherlands that disposable filters come cheaper than washing costs of a washable filter are. That is, for the common shaped ones. Think I pay about 35 cents for 80 of them.

The round filters, needed for that pot you showed would be more expensive, because not common any more.

Using unwashed cotton panties as a coffee-filter is said to work as an aphrodisiac. Never tried it. But, it is of course a very frugal solution. The thing will need washing anyway. Why not use it one more time, before throwing it in the washing machine? It could bring down the heating costs too.

In old Swedish folklore it's said that if a woman wanted a man, she should pour some drops of her menstrual blood in his food  :zoinks:

That's just unsanitary, I would never do such a thing.  :M

Do you drink it right out of the jar?  I'm stealing a bottle of old garbage coffee from work today!   :arrr:
