This community was once again saved by a cup of strong black coffee. :M

For the want of a nail, etc.  Keep drinking the life-giving brew! :coffee:

I missed the discussion about Trump at last week's political meeting . Nothing in particular  was scheduled for this week, too many members being away at some rally. Main item in the resulting casual free-for-all turned out to  "Mark, the coffee killer" ... this guy who'd kicked over our leader's very large latte (so big and heavy that Mark  rebounded from the impact I was assured ) and spilled it all over the floor (ever drop!) at a recent conference, then declined to replace it.

Horror!  Actually Mark didn't exactly decline to replace it , he just proved impervious to 10-ton hints to the effect that he ought to replace it (such as directions to nearest vendor, followed by directions to a cheaper vendor, if he preferred?). As An Aspie, i thoroughly enjoyed hearing about somebody else's density in this respect ofc.  But , no, Mark isn't an Aspie. Eventually a satisfactory explanation was proffered by one of the Daves: poor Mark had been  under a great deal of stress recently, and had consequently done something so unthinkable, it had to be repeated twice : he had taken up smoking. Ah, yeah. That makes total sense. Do you know how much tobacco duty we pay in this country? plus VAT. And you seemed to get into some kind of recursive loop with these taxes, last I checked. Way to reduce your anxiety , huh?

Keep your coffee out of the road of those smokers, guys.

Not fond of mocha or hazelnut.  Some place had the abomination of Peppermint coffee! ! ! !

I tried a vanilla cappuccino the other day, it was tasty at first, then towards the end, even though it was stirred well...it was too much sweetness for me. A little bit of sweetness yeh, but not a whole cup of it, TBH I prefer just plain cappuccino with a couple of less sweet biscuits to dip in it, way nicer. 8)

That is what I had this morning - a coffee with biscuits dipped in it.

I met with a friend over lunch last week. Afterwards, we had coffee and I managed to knock over my cup, pouring the contents over my crotch. I'm not sure what hurt me more, the hot coffee or the embarrassment. :-[
