Dad had a WW2 tatoo of a coiled snake on his arm.  After he aged and the color faded, it definitely was not cool.

Mom had 4 teeny tattoos/dots on her chest that they used to align the radiation machine with for her cancer treatment.  That's the only kind I'd consider getting, not that I want cancer.

Tattoos themselves were never cool. You can't be a total fag, then get a tattoo and unfag yourself. You were either cool before you got a tattoo, then were cool with a tattoo, or you were a faggot, and your tattoo is gay because you're a faggot.

It's not easy to do time in the military and NOT get one.

I was going to get a tattoo with U.S.M.C. in big letters and under that, have Marvin the Martian holding an M-60 with smoke coming out of the barrel.
