are tattoos cool anymore??

i would like to put it out there that tattoos are becoming so commonplace that the cool factor...or as in my day the please dont take my wallet you scary tattooed freak factor is being stretched beyond meaning.   nowadays every person and their cats have ink, and even a three year old boy as i saw today on facebook, i think that last one may be illegal here in oz though!!   maybe the cool thing these days is to NOT get inked??
if only i had of had the forethought 18 years ago to not get my first one id be cool as fuck right now. oh well.

It is true, cats do get ink when they are sterilised. Inside their ear, a circle with a line through it.

I have thought of getting another tattoo but don't know what I would get. And if I am that undecided, it is better not to add to the one I have.

just do what i do. get the first thing that pops into your head. the way i figure it if it looks shit just get another one to take the focus off it. then if that looks not so good then get one next to it to take the focus off that one..and so on and so forth.haha

If you do that you could end up with a right mess that you are not happy with.

The one I have doesn't even mean anything, it is just a Celtic pattern that I saw and liked. I remember it cost me $75.

I like mine. Only thing I would change doing it again would be to plan a more cohesive theme. Other people thinking they are cool or not doesn't really concern me.

I thought that if I ever wind up with dementia and start wandering off it would help to have an identifing mark of some sort.

I like mine, it's just a simple spider above my ankle. Maybe in hindsight I would have got something with a little more detail, not sure.

A tatoo place just opened up down the road from me...considering a second one for my mid-life crisis.

My dawgs always used to have a tattoo in their ears before microchipping came along.

Got a couple of my own that i like.  Seen a lot of them that i don't like.

Funny when women have 'DAVE'  on their knuckles.  Especially if they are about to marry some bloke called Mick

My cat has one on it's belly from the cat clinic that fixed it.  I don't have any and not sure if I will ever get any especially visible one as to maintain my unblemished coolness.
