I'm waiting for mine. I was referred to a sleep study, some time ago, since I just can't seem to sleep properly. They'll also send some apparatus my way, to see if I get any oxygen while I sleep. :P

One of the first things they needed to either confirm or eliminate was apnoea.  They were laughing, when I awoke unexpectedly (and responded to both of them, beyond the glass), at how I breathe when I sleep. They were making jokes about my thinking that ALL the air was mine and i am close to hyperventilating, during deep sleep.

They made extensive notes about this oddness, also. I am not even tended towards apnoea.

I think what happens is that I use (or maybe, conduct?) just as much energy, although, possibly more efficiently, when I sleep as when I do my fun things, but the flow of that energy is reversed.

They think I might have apnea because I'm always tired.

Fun things, indeed. ;)

Maybe if I got tired on some schedule I could sleep more regularly, too.

I insist that my "body clock" is much longer than my work day - always has been. Yes, I come home muscle-tired sometimes, but my muscles do not demand sleep, only a moment of rest. The need for sleep comes from someplace inside my mind. That's why I think the "perfect drug"  would put me out, quickly, and allow me to follow my workday schedule more closely.

I take a long time to get to sleep, unless I wait until I'm really, really tired before I go to bed; it's not unusual for me to lie in bed in the dark for several hours before finally drifting off.  Once I'm asleep, I find it very difficult to wake up, and can get back to sleep in seconds if I'm disturbed.  If I'm forced to get up too early, I can have a lingering feeling of disorientation and confusion for several hours, and can get straight back to sleep even after I've had a shower and gotten dressed.

I'm like that when I go to bed, but more easily disturbed once I wake up. I could never go back to sleep after a shower.

Read some more Harry Potter.  Am now on the Half-Blood Prince.  Hated the Order of the Phoenix though, it always makes me cry when Sirius dies  ::)

Apart from that, avoided revision.

Went to my oldest daughter's school awards ceremony. She cleaned up again this year in academics, but by the same token, what a lot of paper being wasted on all these certificates.

Son graduates from kindergarten tomorrow.
