I would personally be looking myself at other courses just in case, but then I am a paranoid bugger. Good luck with getting that place, if they said it was very good, chances are that you have it.

If I don't get in the course I will apply to do the STAT (Special Tertiary Admissions Test) which is a pretty difficult, from what I know. I am trying to avoid it but it is my Plan B.

And you are not being full of yourself at all, far from it. If you are after doing the speaking circuit, universities can be a good place to build up contacts, and your union might run a debating society of sorts so you can get practise at public speaking. Plus those societies can attract amazing public figures that come and give speeches, we had Patrick Stewart come up a year or so back (before my time, but meh).

Perused the latest pictures that were posted from Amber's summer camp.  She's having a good time!

Went to the grand opening of a new building supply store and got stuff out of the shed for the flea market tomorrow

Went to the annual flea market at the local senior citizen center. Found some Fire King mugs for a .25, and alot of radically over-priced junk.

Had one elderly lady who kept trying to sell me raffle tickets to win this bright red hand-painted vase, another following me around trying to pick out stuff for me (no, please I do not want the shiny vinyl purse, it scares me ) and the small mute one who kept glaring at me and re-straightening the piles of books in obsessive complusive fashion after I looked at them. Bought 3 tickets for the spooky looking vase, which with my luck, I'll probably win, hauled ass out of there and came home and cut grass.

Cleaned another room thoroughly for the post pine pollen season summer cleaning!

Had to deal with receiving another award and ad libbing another a little impromptu speech in front of over one hundred people at a company meeting.

I did not know that they had the camera trained on me when they were prefacing the award. I was tasking the one, who works in my department, who I thought they were talking about, FFS.
They caught me by surprise and said that I had the best reaction of the day!

Punchline?

I looked back at the footage they all planned to submit to the corporate moviemaking assholes and pointed out that (for some reason - like maybe there IS actually a GAWD!!) that my pants were unzipped and they could not submit THIS footage or I will sue.



I wouldn't sue, but I was saved by my own incompetence!
