What have you done today?

This actually happened yesterday, but my daughter and I bought an ice cream maker and we made ginger ice cream with both fresh ginger and candied ginger.  We had been going out for ice cream and she had been getting ginger ice cream from the ice cream shop, but the they ran out of ginger and didn't have any the last two times we went, so she had to settle for birthday cake ice cream.

We had to go to two stores to find the ice cream maker and we bought the last one the second store had.  The motor is electric and you use ice and rock salt in the freezer part.  It makes up to six quarts of ice cream, but we didn't make nearly that much, maybe closer to two quarts.

I don't know if I would like ginger ice cream. I like ginger cake though.

I went to uni with GA and participated in an experiment. Came home, had tea, completed two online questionnaires for uni. One of them was for my Cognitive Processes class.

Woke up, took some acetaminophen-aspirin-caffeine pills, ate a biscuit filled with egg, cheese, and veggie sausage, and layed back down to watch some 'toons.

An hour ago I cleaned the bathroom really thoroughly. Sink, toilet, bath/shower and the tiles on walls and floor. Showered for the second time today after that.

Got my hair cut. It's nice and short again. I did have to tell the hairdresser four times to make it shorter than she was doing. But, it's about how I want it now.



Heard the most hilarious conversation between a text-writer for a local rag and the owner of the hairshop.
if I manage to translate it, I will. That text-writer had no feeling for language what so ever, and had no idea how insulting he was. The owner, not a native Dutch person, saw the humour in it. and I could not help but laugh out loud and tell the text-writer to learn about language.

Spent a few exciting--not--hours at Heathrow, between flights.

Got the kid up, loaded up car with stuff to take to mom, went to mom's
Unloaded car.
Went to the drugstore, went to the grocery store.
Unloaded car, dropped groceries off at mom's, dropped my frozen stuff off at mom's.
Dropped off kid at friend's house.
Washed car.
Went back to mom's to pick up groceries and take in mail.
Came home and unloaded car.

Stuffing some food in my face ATM, and having coffee.
Then I will run around the house and get it cleaned up, stick chicken in the oven, and then go pick up kid at 5:00, then package stuff up for ebay tonight.

Brought the PR to the community college for  her second test to be admitted.  Picked up food for lunch and dinner.  Went to doctor appt.  Brought PR to register for cheerleading (they're not sure they'll have the Senior Cheerleaders this year because the coach left.)  Fixed meals.  Ate dinner, now relaxing.

Got all of my CDs organized and put back up on the shelves. Noticed sveral missing and they weren't in one of three places I would normally have them. My car has no mp3 connection so I have to used CDs in there. It's a 2002.

My car has no mp3 connection so I have to used CDs in there. It's a 2002.

It's as simple as a ten dollar cable plugged into the back of the stereo.

Woke up
Had shower got dressed and left the house.
Went to NRMA and got a home contents insurance quote and policy.
Went to Harvey Norman and picked out a 5kg washing machine.
Took a drive around the beaches before heading home.
Waited by phone for the agent and conveyancer to call me to say settlement was done.
Went to agent and picked up the keys (she gaves me a present too, a cookbook ).
Went to the house and identified all the keys, tested the taps, checked all the lights.
Went back home and picked up a few things to dump in the house, took mum's stepladder.
Went to Big W and bought several new energy saving lightbulbs (not enough though, will make second trip tomorrow maybe).
Came back to the house and changed several lightbulbs (using the stepladder).
Set up the phone handset I bought a while ago and tested the line, found out the previous occupiers undisconnected phone number.
Locked up the house and left.

Now I will spend the rest of the night at home doing my usual +
