Out of curiosity, how is this proven? is there a clear record of all the PM's you sent, even if you don't save a copy??

Skyblue1 saves copies of PMs he has sent by default.  He has deleted his old PMs, but he has the recent ones including ones that were sent before Eris would have gotten hers.  When Jack sent her PM to him, he responded that he hadn't sent anyone a PM in days since the one he sent to V, which is there.

I guess it would be possible for someone to delete any PM, but why would he have gone to the trouble of giving me his password?  He could have just as easily said no.
