A few things just colliding threw me off kilter.

I had a lot of back and leg pain yesterday (visualize me walking bent over at the waist and stumbling around.)  I took some pain meds and a sleeping pill, went to bed early and slept like a lamb.  Feeling tons and tons better today.  And I managed to NOT take The PR's pills by mistake last night!

^ Good! That worries me.

Last night I got a few hours of sleep. Hoping for more tonight.

You'll be happy to know I've not confused them 2 nights in a row.

I think my back problems are from a) gaining all the weight I lost after the fire and b) being inactive.  I looked up some exercises for lower back pain and they seem sensible.  I rejoined the health insurance's gym/activity program again.  I felt a lot better riding a bike 3 or 4 times a week and doing some stretching exercises on my own there. Besides being less than 2 miles away, it is open 24 hours.  But I will probably be limited to the hours The PR is at Magnolia (9 to 3).

My back had been screaming bloody murder until last night. I hadn't slept for days, being up late at night through until maybe napping for  a few hours in the late afternoon. Last night I even managed to sleep whilst on amphetamine, I was so tired. Back was aching so badly, from being at the lab bench so long I couldn't stand for more than a few minutes at a time, hunched over with the back spasm. I did soldier on through the pain in pursuit of my goal, which has been rewarded richly with what must be over an oz of the product I sought collecting in the filter paper after vacuum distillation off of some alcohol, freeze precipitating the product and sucking clean of reaction mixture using vacuum filtration. Now to either reduce directly, or to an intermediate ketimine (nothing to with the drug ketamine, I mean, the imine formed from a ketone as opposed to an aldimine, that from an aldehyde) and reductive treatment with borohydride to gain the sought amine(s) from the ketone if I want to go to a secondary amine, or via reduction of the ketoxime to the amine.

Could easily go back to sleep now, after a couple of lines of oxycodone and the anticonvulsant I take, which is more usually used as a sleeping pill or alcohol detox drug here (chlormethiazole, its not actually licensed here for seizures but I love it for prevention and stopping one in its tracks, since unlike any other GABAa positive allosteric modulator,  benzos etc. I have taken it for years at twice a day and then for a fair while now at 3x daily, without any physical dependency, which I could never do with benzos, barbiturates etc. Indeed I am shocked by its lack of tolerance produced. Better take it now actually though since every time I take a nap, seizure threatens and just narrowly avoided one by forcing myself awake (I get atonic seizures, turning to myoclonic ones almost always at times when going to sleep or waking, rarely ever whilst fully awake) So off I go to pop one or two caps of that now, plus more oxy or/and some morphia.

How is her lovely ladyship QV? I hope she hasn't suffered anything from lack of her meds those days you took them accidentally. Do send her my love and regards. I'm pleased as punch for her that shes been accepted there:)

Last night I slept wonderfully, only woken since my old man got up early as hell to go fishing. at about 5 am-half 5, whilst I had JUST got up and started my vacuum distillation and vac filtration, baptizing my 2.5 liter vacuum filtration flask for the first time. Always gives me the warm fuzzies using new glassware for the first time. Seeing the pressure go right down on the manometer and the solvent begin vigorously boiling under vacuum was good and satisfying, as my compound was stripped of solvent. Recrystallizing it by freezing it out now...mmmmmm satisfying seeing it crystallize nice color, looks like I cooked it just right in the microwave.

Why not see if her ladyship wishes to come with you to work out QV?

Better than usual, even without muscle relaxers.  After another day of limping at work, I seem to have
"fixed" my leg.  My knee popped at one point, and maybe that needed to happen?  I also perfected my
adaptive walk, leaning my weight on the right leg and keeping the left perfectly straight.  That seemed to
exercise some muscles in the left leg so that the knee pain was replaced by tolerable muscle cramps.
Anyway, I was feeling much better by the end of the day, and whatever was wrong seems fixed.  :orly:

Don't cancel your appointment though. Best to get it checked out in case it happens again, that way they have a history of it.

I'm glad.   I hope you can recuperate this weekend.

I slept pretty well toward morning.  It does make a difference.  :)
