I am basically invisible as a female in public. Street harassment just doesn't happen to me.
Outright harassment in public might not be very common in general, but maybe getting attention that goes unnoticed. Since becoming a member of the work force, have tried to be more cognizant of acknowledging the presence of others. That's important to people, to have the space they take up acknowledged, eye contact and a quick smile passing in the hall, nod and good morning, things like that. Now it's more common to notice people noticing me.
