Bid work on a house
Went to my supply houses and paid some bills
Placed an order for building supplies

Overslept and missed b'fast with my friend.

Took the PR to the psychologist for her six month check up and she had a meltdown in his office.  She's going to be on sleeping pills for the next month since that was what she said bothered her the most (not being able to fall asleep).  We'll revisit in a month and see if he has found a social worker/psych to talk to her.  In the meantime there's 2 organizations I need to contact to see if they can take/help her.  At least this time it's not suicidal thoughts, just immense pressure she's putting herself under.

Then took her shopping at Wal-Mart which seemed to help her.

Such a long and frustrating process isn't it? Been there with monkeyboy many times.

I would love to do that, but.....  She really needs to learn that material things don't always bring you to good places.  When she eventually goes into custodial care (after we are gone) she won't have a lot of money, maybe $45 pocket money a month.  So I need to teach her other coping mechanisms.  And I need to teach myself the same coping mechanisms. lol

I've collected another few empty square metres today.
Clearing the attic, for the umpteenth time. :D

Also put together a desk, that was lying in pieced on said attic, will remain there, but, will make storing things easier, and, will make a nice table for folding my washing.

Did lots of washing too, and, like a squirrel, made sure I got my stack of nuts for the winter indoors. (picked up 14 kg of walnuts that I had bought online)

Worked my ass off getting holes drilled in two expensive boxes, wrestling around a 784 pound reel of cable with my toolie (term for tool partner in my trade), pulling four 350' runs of cable, getting it all pulled in and secured by the end of the day. My upper body is sore but I feel good to be back to work. After months of not doing any layout it is good to know that I can still do it fast and accurately on a good day.  :hyke:

Does she respond well to any sort of sensory therapy? All of the coping mechanisms I've been working on teaching monkeyboy are sensory related. The best being deep pressure. That's his thing. I give him a head to toe deep pressure massage every night before bed (but only certain people are allowed to give it to him because that much body touching does run the risk of abuse) so he has a weighted blanket that he uses in my absence.

When I was a teen, it was a comfy blanket, my teddy bear (which I still have  :green: ) and headphones blasting music. I still have playlists that are meant for certain things. Processing. Depression. Anger. Encouragement etc.

Not sure what her "thing" is but hopefully you can tap into it and keep building on it.

It's possible she would do well with some pressure.  She sleeps under a comforter year round.  I'm going to try some walking in the sunshine to see if exercise and sunlight will do some good.  It's finally cool enough to start walking.
