Travel stress with us seems to be getting worse as we get older.  Of course airline travel seems to be getting more and more complicated and expensive.  At least the weather in KY was nice and sunny and when we weren't visiting Carla's parents we were walking around a lot, browsing and chilling out.

Travel stress with us seems to be getting worse as we get older.  Of course airline travel seems to be getting more and more complicated and expensive.  At least the weather in KY was nice and sunny and when we weren't visiting Carla's parents we were walking around a lot, browsing and chilling out.   

There was a major positive on the way home...I found a penny on out way to the gate and as I was on the plane in my seat...the seat next to me went unfilled.  I had 2 seats to myself, room to spread my legs and stuff out.  Yes, I have my superstitions and this time it worked.

after that I got my usual appointment, and the get together with some of my mom's friends.

I did my Saturday housework and cleaned the cars.

I got some work done in the garage. I've decided to make the garage my summer project. That's one of Sugarbutt's spaces where he's free to hoard stuff, but over the years it's gotten really dirty and dingy. There's some cool stuff out there, a pool table, darts, crazy stuff on the walls he's collected over time. It's just all really dirty and I'd like to turn it back into a nice space that's not embarrassing. Since I don't expect him to get rid of anything, I'm just going to have to tackle it in small bites. Move a little bit of stuff, clean the stuff, paint the small space of wall behind the stuff, and then put the stuff back. An hour or two here and there and eventually it will get done. That's fine, I have all summer so there's no rush. When I'm done, I plan to add the garage to my spring cleaning schedule so things don't get all dusty and dirty again.

Went to Zumba class and then came home and did some laundry.

Sold lots of stuff at the flea market and interacted with way too many people

Fucking Indianapolis 500 race was incredible, up to the end when some wanted to play bumper cars.

Super clean race until near the end. Kind of looked like another back to back winner (only happened four times in over 100 years of the Indy 500), but it did not happen.

My son's mouth was jaw dropped most of the afternoon. I wonder if his tongue is sunburned.

I bought some active Bose hearing protectors and, with some inner ear plugs, that worked fine.

Too much interaction for me, too, yesterday.

Today I'm hiding in my garage, spinning my wire wheel taking rust off of old tools I have neglected.
This along with some music and I am very satisfied with my level of interaction.

Met up with the pastor who is officiating my father's memorial service.

Took my car to the mechanics. Walked home and wheezed the whole way.

Got a haircut, and showered up a bit... now I'm needing to get my stuff ready for work in the morning

I did my Saturday housework and vacuumed the cars. Yesterday I also did a big grocery shop, so now everything is all clean and stocked and ready to go again.
