I suggest a solution to your arduino problem renster....

And without knowing or even having to look at the circuit diagram.

Just relabel the buttons. That way your pressing the right one. Job done problem solved.
Thanks Lestat, will have to try that next Tuesday. Did you mean relabelling the code?

I thought he meant just relabeling the button, so the wrong button is now the right button.  :lol1:

Went to classes and tried to build a doorbell using Arduino and other electronics. Got sound out of one circuit but it was by pressing the wrong button.

You didn't do the plumbing in my house did you, Ren? The cold water comes out of the red tap. It's always catching  me out,  cos I can't tell right from left without stopping to think carefully (and pretending to write. Being right-handed is often a life-safer there).

Nah, but i'm being unfair. I'm sure that doorbell was a brilliant first attempt. :) Just not quite perfect.

^Well nobody else got sound so that's a plus for me.

My stepdad is a registered plumber, he would not have made a booboo like that!

Rewrote some code, thinking the update would be an easy one. I was wrong.
