Made 4 necessary phone calls
Picked up med for the PR
Straightened out Power of Attorney problem with health insurance company
Went to the credit union and changed password
Went to Goodwill and bought 2 tops for the PR
Lunch at Waffle House
Returned something to Harbor Freight
Picked up lunch for the PR
Back to apartment
Waited for phone call that didn't come
Picked up mail
Took the PR to Walmart
Waited an hour to pick up something from ship to store
Back to apartment
Go to g'friend's house to use computer and pay bills.

I want to go to Waffle house but the closest one it three hours away :thumbdn:

Took car to get alignment. Waited way too long in line. Got screwed over by mechanic. Did Christmas shopping. Got told to bring someone else next time I get car serviced. Don't have spare energy to fight that particular battle right now.

Fucking sounds like a nightmare.

I say, next time, take a baseball bat with you. Hold it on your shoulder as you deal with these assholes. Use it to point where your car needs work.

It was a Sears. I won't be going back there. When I got there, with an appointment, there were three people in line ahead of me. It took a full hour before I was at the head of the line, and never mind any appointment time. The guy just didn't give two fucks. Then they did twenty minutes of work and I'm not even sure they actually did anything (was supposed to be an alignment) or just stood around and signed the form.

My wife has the same problem. She is five foot two and is fifty one years old. (I am fifty nine now. YUP, It may not seem so different at our ages, but I DID rob the cradle a bit a few years ago. we were married in my forties) NO ONE takes her seriously. but maybe me.
I trust that you already know I am kind of smartlike. EVERYONE should take this woman seriously, by GOD!
I missed the one time she tried this, as her mother (who was an inch more short) had suggested twenty years before.

Obviously, if I am there no one from the shop will talk to my wife or any woman that shows up. They only talk to the man in a car shop. Most of these fuckers have no idea that some women are just as Savvy about cars as their hubbies.

I'm not, though. ... EDIT.

OK. Maybe we missed each other's points.

You are not which?

Old? Obviously not. Short?  Can not prove it. We do not know. Female? I accept, from previous encounters that you are female, in most ways. Quite intelligent?  I have accepted this long ago. BUT, I am not a subhuman carguy.

"Car guys" seem to mostly be kind of like punks, who disrespect women from the intro, and show them mostly disrespect, unless they are truly deep-minded car guys (Like Me ), who are way past disrespecting people in general.

Weird thing about what I did today is that I grew a pair of ballZ

THEN I forced it on my son, somewhat,

It has been around freezing for weeks, but we have all had to just deal wioth it.

Today, my son and I went out and planted bulbs that will come up in spring.!! We had done so three times in the past weeks, but it was warmer then.
Today, we sucked it up and got out there and did it!      ... just before the ground freezzes over for the year!

I had told him that if he would help me, I would buy him a game.
.We actually did this "buying thing" before we dug in the ground, but I trust him.

He wanted Mass Effect  ......

SO now, I have a computer that I will "never"  see again.

I am not savvy about cars, so I don't really know enough to call them on bullshit if they told me the wrong thing, or to talk shop intensely enough to get them to start respecting me for knowledge.

You know there are three of them, right?  And you have to play them in order, so you can bring your save game from one to the next and it remembers what you did and incorporates it into the plot.

It may be a loooong long time before you get in front of that computer.

Eating herring. :P

Ironing. (Almost all done by now, thank goodness)
Making small reparations on clothes.
Stuff like that.

Had a chat with a few neighbours too, including the one leaving. I've met my socialising quota of the week.

Worked for about half a day. Stressed out as a result.

Replaced a faulty bulb in the Jag.

I drank bourbon, went to the toilet, drank more bourbon 1:56am Saturday.
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.
