Not a lot yet. I made coffee and logged on here. The phone rang but I didn't want to talk to anyone so I didn't answer.

This should be in the "you know you are getting old thread". It takes an older mindset, to be able to escape the hype of not wanting to miss any phonecall or tweet.

I've been doing this for years.

Me too, I claim the right to be out of touch, when I want to be.
But it looks like the younger generation is not capable of not being on top of every possible phone-call.

I did away with my landline about five years ago.
We actually have a cell plan with three lines. One for my wife, one for me and one that stays at home most of the time.
It works. (ours are smart phones with GPS, internet, data, texting, etc. They were free with signing up for the plan. Sony Experia. I will not buy an apple product.)

Dealing with leaving your cell; you just need to strap it to your body somehow.  It works.
It is an adjustment, but it works.

We're thinking about getting rid of the landline too, but the operator charges a substantial fee for the copper if you want to use it for VDSL only.
