What have you done today? (Pt 2)

Slept, mostly. But that was because Christmas day was uncommonly good and I'm still getting over it

Drove north to Coffs Harbour to a car dealership to get a few car things looked at. They did a wheel alignment, applied some anti-squeal paste to my brake pads (allegedly. they're still squealing), but couldn't hear the issue with noise coming from my rear diff/axle area. Did a bit of shopping while I was there and took a detour to Bellingen. Browsed the expensive country boutiques in the sweltering heat that seemed to be exclusive to the place. Drove home, got groceries and tried to record my noise with my phone. Now attempting to upload the videos to youtube

My car is being serviced now - after I dropped it off I caught the bus back home. Just waiting for a call  from the service centre, probably this afternoon.

I hope to get some shelves built today!

Woke up. Picked up a prescription, collected same, returned home, morning meds (or some of them, some I don't need atm), filled a hat with floral gums (tiny little hard-chewable gum candies with fruit flavouring, like midget gems, only rounded-conical and a tiny bit larger than a BB, to take in the room where this computer is located that I am using, to snack on, as well as a few bars of the 'walker's liquorice that, despite ordering three bars, for some reason, I got given a 2 kilo box of trays of bars. Its rock hard, and needs smashing with a hammer before eating, but its very nice indeed. Rather pleased about that windfall. I definitely ordered three bars. But did I get three? no I got 2 kilos of packs of bars instead. Not going to send them back with an angry complaint:P I just LOVE liquorice.

I was looking for salmiak, but they hadn't any, else I would have bought that instead.

Another salted candy I like, is >95% cocoa dark chocolate, studded with chunks of sea salt. Now that , whilst not a huge chocolate fan, is something that I'll happily eat the entire bar in one go and then go unwrap a couple more:)

Boxed a set of volcano books, bound journals, that need to have a good home found someday.  Now they sit in a storage closet with my Doc Savage books, also to be sold someday.

Have you tried the chocolate bar with bits of salty liquorice in it? That's pretty good, they had a McFlurry version in Sweden when I stayed there. I managed to buy a big tub of the topping from some shop at Gothenburg train station, and I ate it all.

I had one more chocolate salted liquorice McFlurry before leaving to go home, and the woman at McDonalds mixed all the topping into the ice-cream, so it lost its crunchiness instantly.

Not done yet but going to: sort out the books in the new shelves, tidy up the dining area (which is where the shelves are) by putting some of Kayleigh's junk on the lounge room shelves (which are also new). Also tidy up the lounge room as there's boxes and crap everywhere.
