One song? :zoinks:

Me, I visited the Edradour Distillery in Pitlochry, Scotland.

Went out to tag sales and brought Marley  with me
Cleaned up some in the shed
Fixed a small metal table my son broke last week and lived up to my motto  'Grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't'  :green:

Returned some left over materials and paid off my accounts at two supply houses
Mowed my weeds
Cleaned up in the front yard

Documented yet another day of destruction upon a local icon.

It used to be a massive concrete silo, full of corn for animal feed. First pic is some of the rubble. Next pic is a really fun find on the security fence.

Admittedly, photographing a spiderweb is not as straightforward as it might seem.

Rubble, on the other hand is just  like  :poo:   Duck and try to get a pic of the action if you dare. Unfortunately, I work at the same time as the crane operator and getting a live pic seems almost impossible.

I do have a few "steps."

First pic is what it looked like about the time they started.

Next pic is the only time I ever caught the operator swinging his ball(z).

Third pic is what had happened the previous week to the other side.

Kind of sucks that this turn-of-the-century (Last century, btw, not the 2Ks) icon of local interest has outlived its usefulness.

If you can see the wood building in the background, it has become historically significant during this project. There is a massive movement to salvage all that one hundred fifty year old wood for other purposes. Maybe you can see that they started to destroy it and stopped once they discovered that the wood was still healthy and could be salvaged.

Here is a pic of the ancient wood.

Eight stories tall; all wood. An early version of a silo with "window" vents, instead of forced air ELECTRIC fans.

Kind of sad to see it all go.

:bigcry:

On a more positive note:

I sometimes take my camera into my garden.

Some lillies and an interesting catch using light, translucence, 'section and shadow play.

A native plant:   False Solomon's seal and another look at a decent Stargazer lily. Just having a little fun with light.

Nice pictures DD.
Love how the iron reinforcement of the silo now looks like fragile web remnants, holding rubble dust in that picture you took from the back.

I always feel really lucky, when managing to catch a spiderweb.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

The wood building is beautiful.

Got up at 6am
Got some wood from where the town had cut some trees to try out the hewing hatchet I just finished restoring
