As for what I've managed today, so far, not a whole lot. It took me some time to reply to Al's post. :P

I survived two Christmas days, visiting and receiving visitor.
Now the day is young, very young. Want to fold a bit more washing, and then go to bed. Work tomorrow, the alarm will wake me early.

Grocery shopped for bargains, found a few.

Made a delicious salad out of chicken breast chunks (2 half breasts) and a nice sized chunk of ham (diced).  Simply added garlic, lemon and mayonnaise.

Washed clothes.

Tried a housewifely fix to a leaky drain pipe (the one outside the washer).  Unfortunately I don't have a large enough container that will fit in the space to catch the drips.  Since the washer is outside in the laundry room the leak is manageable in the short term.  But it will need to be replaced soon.

I called work this morning. Liver is telling me my gallstones are not where they should be. Not a colic attack yet, but it is not at ease at all. Not the right physical mode to do some heavy vacuuming in a cool space. I would have gone in, had they been short on people. But, they told me to stay home.

I will, next month I will call my GP, and she will put things in motion. I postponed, because December is a month packed with inconvenient things, and I did not see someone take over my kids in this month. Did not want that on the kids either.
It's not that bad that it could not be postponed without danger.

You could save your gallstones and send them to Jessie.  He could start a new collection of Intense Gallstones. :zombiefuck:

PA had his gall bladder taken out about 25 years ago.  Simple operation, 2 small incisions and very few restrictions.  In fact, he went swimming in a public pool within a week.

The underlying causes are probably the four f's. Female, fat, fertile and over forty.

From close range, I only know people with horrible gall bladder complications. So I have decided I need to get this over the standard easy way, to balance things out.
