Went to the gym, stopped off at 7/11 so Kayleigh could get sushi, came home and tried my best to fill out paperwork for the upcoming rent review. Found that I need a certificate of employment which I don't have. Going to have to write a note to my boss tonight at work and ask for one.

I worked on the grout and gave the robovac a deep cleaning. It randomly stopped twice in the middle of the floor today. It's never done that before, so I don't know if cleaning it will make a difference. I'll find out tomorrow.  :dunno:

I started my grout project today. :hadron: While I'm pleased with the initial results, I only finished the master bedroom, master bath and closet, so today has shown this is going to be a very time consuming project. I'll probably start working on it for an hour or two every evening so it doesn't end up taking months.  :dunno:

Sounds interesting.  :asthing:

I'm actually really excited about it.  :lol1:

Spent the entire bloody day in meetings, except for a doctor's appointment in the morning and a TBE shot this afternoon. The TBE shot was #3, but apparently I'm so old that I'll need #4 sometime next year.

I worked on the grout, wiped out the fridge, and made a shopping list for tomorrow. :hadron:

Woke up, checked my weight, took Louie out to do his business, had lunch, read my e-mails, and now I'm hiding in my quarters.

Meetings and some actual coding. Notably, I told a new coworker to fuck off. This guy just didn't know when to stop - he treated me and others as if we were new to our jobs and had missed even the simplest things - and finally I snapped, told him to fuck off and that he was embarrassing himself and wasting my time.

A productive meeting, that one.

I did a big grocery shop, put gas in the car, and paid the bills. :hadron: I hate to let a day go by without working on the grout at least a little, but by the time I got everything stocked and organized, cleaned the kitchen after dinner, and worked on the budget, it was already 8pm so I've had enough of this day.  :dunno:

Did crossword puzzles for a while. Helped me relax. Did the laundry. Walked the dog.

Cleaned, sorted, bundled stuff up for donation. Taking a break, listening to the wind howling today through drafty windows that I'm going to need to seal before winter...then back at it.

Want to minimize? Move into an old house with only one small closet.  :lol1:

I'm happy as hell with the whole project though. Might goof off and go out and metal detect around the yard next week for a day, since I've made a lot of progress inside. According to the property website these houses around here date back to 1900...that should be good for about 20 pop tabs and a couple of wheat pennies. :autism:

The grand kids seem happy as hell too in the new place.

I need to do that as well. I bought a handheld scrubbing device that I've used on the bathroom tiles so far. It didn't do the shower tiles and grout any favours (I think they're beyond saving) but the rest of the bathroom looks loads better. I still have to do the toilet and laundry.

Mine is coming out great, but only time will tell how long it lasts. It's also a sealant and grout is supposed to be sealed annually, so I'll be satisfied if it last a year. I guess it depends on what type of grout is in the shower. The stuff I'm using is essentially painting the grout but it's made for cement grout so I don't think it would work in our shower. Although they do make grout paint pens I think are designed for slick grout. A few years ago our shower had a couple of small stained spots on the grout that wouldn't come clean. I just bought a small squeeze tube of white grout from walmart and put a new layer over those areas. It's held up fine and I'm now more diligent about using a bleach spray in there every week, so there hasn't been anymore stains since then.  :dunno:
