Got up at stupid o'clock and boarded a plane from Prague to Frankfurt. Now waiting for my connecting flight.

Busy day for me.
Started out meeting the guy who came to inspect our irrigation backflow system. Something required by the city.
He found leaks in the system and fixed them, digging down three feet in one case to find the pipe that needed to be fixed.

This house was on the market for two years before we bought it and, while it is a bargain for us, there are still things we find to fix and so forth. I'm still happy.

The irrigation spigots had been overgrown with turf due to not being used. He found them all, dug them out, got them working.

I did not even know we had an irrigation system, but he even showed me how to work the controller, which I had burried with boxes early on. Smallish check. I liked the guy.

After, I took the kids with me to some yard sales. I found a couple of things.
The Ryobi sander is not new, but looks to be. The Dado set is brand new, never even been out of the box. I gave ten bucks for the Ryobi and twenty bucks for the dado set.

Also picked up a Stanley brace, two hatchets, a craftsman socket set and a small mountain of CDs and movies. Two bucks for tools and a buck for movies and CDs.
Bought thirty two CDs and eight movies.

Nice grabs!!

Hell, I forgot to mention, my son bought a few sci-fi books, my daughter found "house plant" encyclopedia of four books. No books I cared about, except a few which I already had about firearms.

My daughter also bought several art deco type vases and some bakeware. She is really rocking with the oven these days.

And I bought a Remington 870 12ga with a rifled barrel, long, made for deer hunting with a scope. Don't really need it, since I prefer to use rifles for deer.
But, there are places in Indiana where you can not use rifles, due to overpopulation of hoosiers. So You need a short range thing, like a shotgun.
I have plenty of shotguns, but no rifled barrels made for slugs. My shotguns are all bird guns or self deffense, smooth bore.
Now I have a deer gun I can use in controlled places.

It's not that I forgot, but I had taken it completely apart, every screw and pin, every tiniest part laid out and I was cleaning every mm. I don't think it has been used much at all. Looks new, still, not much wear even on the sear. Another good find at two fifty including a scope. Scope is crap. I won't need one for my use.

Exactly.
I thought twenty bucks for a complete new dado set was insane. Could not walk away. It still has the wax on the edges of all the cutting surfaces.
It's not top quality - Chinese, but it was complete with a beautiful mahogany case to keep it in.

Spent a few minutes pissing off people in heavy traffic.

I saw a dog running loose. I parked and came out waving my arms stopping a long line of cars and managed to coax a small dog into my arms.
She was a beautiful beagle cross, just running in traffic.
I went to the nearest house and banged on the door. She knew the dog. "OH, that's Regina's dog!!"  COOL!!

I could have just kept this fabulous dog, but banging on "Regina's" door with the help of a neighbor we got her safely back home. Regina was mad as hell, not a pleasant person.  "HOW IS SHE GETTING OUT!!??!!"

Almost like it was my fault, she just grabbed the dog and yelled at her. I was walking away, thanking the neighbor for her help and Regina ran back out to thank me. Got no use for the mean bitch but the friendly one I would take home in an instant.

Funny thing, when I picked up the dog all she did was lick my beard, like, "What the HELL is this?" lick, lick lick, MORE licks. It was funny, but I have washed well.

I got my two sun spots cut out today. Ouchies. Now my nose is swollen under a tonne of bandages and I have a black eye, though it's not the eye I expected.

The doctor gave me a script for some codeine though so it's not all bad.

I had my phone appointment with the respiratory specialist this morning. I'm apparently taking too much Symbicort (3 puffs twice a day) and so have been prescribed Spiriva which is a puffer I have to take only once a day. I looked it up and it has some pretty shitty possible side effects, including vision problems. And a dry mouth. Like I really need more of that. But they're only possible and so hopefully won't happen at all.

I will get it tonight after work.

Lots of meetings, little actual work. But we interviewed this brilliant Indian lady for a senior dev position, which was a win in my book. Hoping I can convince the others.
