Had to trim the dog's fur back after noticing she has a hot spot. I've never had a dog get these before and I feel awful for her  :( Had to put the cone of shame on her to keep her from biting at it with her teeth. She's so itchy. HB went to the pharmacy to pick up allergy meds so we can give her some relief before trying to get her into the vet tomorrow (which is an hour away! Oy.)

Nothing much here to report so far.
The first time we had to put the antiseptic spray on her she FREAKED and she's an incredibly chill dog who lets me do anything that needs to be done when it comes to taking care of her because she trusts me. It legit broke my heart to see her in so much pain and so scared. She hid behind me at the vet (and she adores her vet). But now she's fine with it and is back to just laying there and letting me do what I have to do to clean it up and help her heal. Sometimes it feels like dogs are too pure and we don't deserve them.

It's ANZAC Day today and I attended the dawn service at the end of my driveway with a lit candle. I counted 7 others doing the same thing. About 3 people played a recording of the Last Post at different times which was pretty funny.

One of my best friends did a porch drop off of fabric masks for us. I haven't seen her in 2 months and I was so excited to see her face that I totally did NOT expect to bloody well ugly cry the moment she got out of her car. But then I felt better when she did too. And then we both swore over the ridiculousness of the ugly cry AND the current situation that has kept us apart.  :laugh:

Went to work at walmart in Rochester NH.  I got an emergency message on FB by a manager I respect asking me to come in at 1 PM...........WHY?   They had only scheduled 2 PEOPLE to begin offloading a truck.  And it takes 3-4 people to do it well.  I came in and was fucking gobsmacked to find out that her supervisor left work and didn't let her know and she had to look at the schedule to see the ugly truth.   She was very grateful to have me.  And that is what gets my loyalty.

Emptied out the van and rearranged the trailer so everything fit in it.  Worked on sorting stuff in my office
