Do you have any suggestions on what tomato to pick for the garden, when I want yellow tomatoes?

This year I am really lazy in the garden. The only thing that successfully grows this year are chilli peppers. They are doing very well.

It depends a bit what you want to use them for.

Ah, found this database: http://www.mooiemoestuin.nl/database/tomaat/ You can click on the names in blue and find more info about that specific species.

Butz.. may be best to buy a little tomato plant.. to grow them from seed (as I did) you might be a tad late.

Also, when you've found a nice tasting tomato you could just break the tomato (the fruit) and put the seeds in the ground (or pot/what have you). That worked fine two years ago with a yellow tomato I had bought in a supermarket. Tadski late for it by now.. butz..

Last year I did indeed have tomatoes from seed from the tomatoes the year before. They came as a surprise, in the same soil as the year before, and did really well. No illnesses or anything for being in the same soil.

Now it is too late to start tomatoes, and there is enough of other things to do, this year. So, keeping the plants healthy that I have, and making nice plans for next year, that is what I will do.
Will be searching supermarkets or markets begin next year for yellow tomatoes, if I can't get them from a nursery. My own supermarket will not have them. Too small a customer base to try anything adventurous like yellow tomatoes.

My chilli peppers I have grown from seeds. From November on I was alert on the occasional extra tasty or extra hot one.
Of two I kept the seeds, one with an awesome taste, the other with a very good taste and extra heat. Of the 33 seeds I sowed, 30 plants came up. Handed out quite a few, and kept a few for myself. Now I will keep seeds from prolific plants, if the taste of the fruits is good. Big difference in how prolific the individual plants are. I may even try to keep a few alive through winter, getting them indoors in time.

The way I collect rain water.

As you can see it has been raining substantially and the large bucket, 65 litres big/to mix mortar in, is up to the rim full of tears from heaven. I use the rain water to water my plants in pots in- or outside the house. The quality of it is way better for plants than the water out of the tap.

Think I have enough for surely a full month. 2 probably. Now hoping for a little bit more sunshine (for my plants).. and less rain (please).

There is a bald eagle nesting in town, I believe the eggs have hatched but the babies are too small to see yet.  The whole area is  blocked off I took this from about 100 yards away when I took my daughter over to see the nest.  They said in the paper there hasn't been a nesting pair in town for over 70 years.

I have only seen one picture of you. Maybe you should post a few pics, liven up the thread a little bit.

I like what you've done with your hair. I wish I had the guts to shave mine. It gets cut shorter every time I go to the hairdresser.
