Oh Father I got a question to make
« on: September 16, 2011, 08:20:19 PM »
Oh goodness my father, if so indeed, I have a confession to make,
My question is curiosity,
My question is wondering the obvious,

Why is there so many stupid people?

Does your father post here?
How did you get to be a mod @ AFF with such poor syntax and grammar?
Is there a particular point to this thread?

Right after the Preview button there's SPELL CHECK.  Quit murdering my English, please.

Spell Check confuses me, it suggests all these other words that it *thinks* I might have meant.   :dunno:
"I'm finding a lot of things funny lately, but I don't think they are."
--- Ripley, Alien Resurrection

"We are grateful for the time we have been given."
--- Edward Walker, The Village

People forget.
--- The Who, "Eminence Front"

Maybe it's a 'spell Czech' in a plastic mac and Fedora.

I never bother to correct spelling either,  it's only
a message board.  I just tend to think to myself
'does anyone give a fuck really'  and my answer is
usually no.  Maybe i should rethink :dunno:
blah blah blah

when i spell checked my novels, i was _terrified_
1. since its a sci-fi, i have LOTS of "erroneous words", not necesarily "technobabble", but:
2. in norwegian, we "glue" words, post office becomes postoffice. space battle ship commander hat becomes spacebattleshipcommanderhat <--- "did you mean hot dog?"
3. the "add word" button had no effect, and was seemingly there just for show, making me have to click "ignore word" on an average of 10-20 times per page (names were considered erroneous)
4. it _actually_ suggested "automatic herring" instead of "automatic fire" (what the flying fuck is an automatic herring? come on... )
5. the "ignore" button was RIGHT NEXT TO "correct all" button, and the document auto-saved every few minutes. i was TERRIFIED i'd click the "correct all" followed by a quick auto-save :I

(who on earth clicks the correct all, and leaves it at that!? :S)

Think the correct all only corrects all of the instances of a single error. For example if there are more than one instance of 'the' mistyped as 'teh' it will correct all of them at once.

in norwegian, we "glue" words,
This brings to mind your complaints over google search.
