At least today I am out of bed at a reasonable hour.  That should help.

just did it. sent an email to the chair asking if i can take the reduced/free classes to get another certification so that i can work with autistic children in montreal. the situation here is pretty dire and if i can get the certification i could easily get a job. there is a waitlist that can be up to three years.

the email also lets the chair know that i didn't get a class this term. this is in case the assistant chair, who has a grudge against me, arranged for me not to have a class (she's tried this overtly in the past). it won't look good for their accreditation visit if someone who meets so many criteria they need isn't working, but the chair isn't paying attention to that kind of thing because it's the job of the assistant.

Dodged that bullet.  On the agenda for tomorrow.   :bigcry:

And again.  Never seem to get them done.

finishing a root canal. don't mind the dental work but it's going to rain and it's cold.

after having been inundated during a marathon years ago, wolfy doesn't like cold rain so much. back then it was as if a continual bucket of water was pouring on us. it lasted maybe five minutes but enough water that he had to run in wet shoes. kept on his t-shirt, though because he knew it would dry. a lot of folks stripped off wet clothes and regretted it when the sun came out again. this was november and the temps might have been around 70 which is kind of hot for a marathon. the water didn't help at all.

still have to make the phone call to the bank.
