EMPOWERED
and overwhelmed.
After many, many, many years I have had a breakthrough in my hoarding/good little girl obsession. I do not need to go through every item of clothes and decide if it's good enough to be sent to the thrift store or should I keep it for mending/crafting, etc. Now I simply look at the size and if it's too small, I pitch it. The thrift stores here have warehouses full of clothes (I've seen them) and certainly can do without my contribution. Ditto for other miscellaneous items.
I've decided on a reasonable amount of clothes for each of us and will cull things down to that level. We don't need 2 or 3 coats a piece in New Orleans.
I've put out 3 trash bags of crap and clothes from the PRs bedroom today.
I'm feeling overwhelmed because my hands and wrists hurt, I cut myself on a broken light bulb, my neck hurts, etc. I will definitely medicate myself tonight and sleep the sleep of the contented person.
