I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

I want an Acer Tablet but the price is a bit too much for me to justify.
Now we have a competition at work. That in itself does not really mean much in itself. My specialist group is normally left out of the competitions at work. Now though they have included us in three competitions. Two that we can actually compete head to head with the other sales area. The main competition has the main prize of the Acer Tablet that i like.
So a week in and I am top of the leader board. Then today I found out that the other sales area will be getting some really good sales leads that are qualified and from a great sales channel. Our specialist team will not be getting them. We can not ask for them. I know i am good at my job and will do well in the competition regardless but I think it makes it close on impossible to maintain the lead position with that kind of advantage over me.
In truth i earn more than the guys in the other sales area and my specialist team is a lot nicer to work in and so they of course see this as not unfair on that basis and they have a point. They also did not ask for it, it fell into their lap so I am not angry with them. I am not even angry with the company, they saw an opportunity and the other sales channel makes more sense on a company basis to send teh leads to. It is actually a brilliant campaign and likely to get the results they are desperately needing.
So I dunno how i feel. Despondent and disappointed and at the same time thinking "Well maybe if i try even harder and get in a bit before time and stay later and through a few breaks a day...maybe..."

I dunno.

Ambivalent.  The good news is that it's not a kidney stone or kidney infection.  Nor is it a pulled muscle.  The bad news is that my L1, L2 and L3 vertebra are deteriorating.  I have scripts for anti-inflammatory, pain and muscle relaxants.  It's going to be manageable for the near term, although I will probably consult an orthopedist within the next 6 months, particularly since my neck arthritis is flaring up.  I almost wish it was the kidney stone.   :'(

It's waaaaaaaaay too early to think about that.  It's more of a chronic aggravation right now.  I'm sure anti-inflammatory meds, appropriate exercise, weight loss, better posture, different ways of getting things done, etc. will go a long ways in making me feel better and postponing surgery.

Do you think they'll want to fuse them?

Opioids can cause urinary retention. So when the kidneys are blocked, they do need to be careful.

I'm feeling like shite, and REALLY pissed off.

I'm feeling drowsy.  Pain med + muscle relaxant + anti-inflammatory + antidepressant = nice.
