Looking up Essendon Bombers golf club covers on the net (for my stepdad). So far I can only find two sorts.

MMMM....I love fruit. I can't tolerate veg at all, I just cannot eat any, sensory reasons, and regular ordinary 'ewww, nasty' hating them all.

Just bought a few bananas, 3-4 watermelons, 3 piel de sapo melons, a couple of papayas, about 6 packs of passionfruit (plastic wraps containing 4 each (or it might be 5, can't remember) and some pomegranates. Fiddly little bastards those are, it takes longer to get all the little seed segments out of the rind than it does to actually eat them. Damn tasty though, one of my favourites.

Been having watermelon slices, with passionfruit poured all over to give it a really nice tangy taste.

Love fruit too.. but luckily (qua health) love them veggies also.

I'm making a simple pasta sauce at the moment. Whilst watching 24Kitchen with one eye and my laptop's scream with the other.. sauce is now slowly simmering on the 'stove'.

Have a minestrone soup cooking in the crockpot and just finished washing the floors in the kitchen and front hall.

Veg...nasty. I haven't eaten any since my first special school when I was practically forced, occasionally. It was a damn struggle to have it not come straight back up. I figure enough fruit more than makes up for it. Speaking of which...I am starting to really crave one of those piel de sapo melons....but its going to have to wait. I don't want anything more in my GI tract than is already there (fish&chips, and a chicken curry/rice), the less thats there to soak up my bottle of vodka and two crates of beer, the better:D

I'm not a big drinker though, I actually find I have to WORK at getting enough C2H5OH down my throat to do anything. Not that I'm going to let it get the upper hand, today of all days. Managed most of that vodka though....still have two crates of beer to work through though. That should keep me busy until the REAL fun starts...I.E after it gets dark and I can grab the garden pruners and a few carrier bags, then go visit where the poppies are waiting to be harvested.

I think this year, I might try refining the contents thereof into an IV-able product. Never done that before. Only ever just made tea out of the pods. Tastes absofuckinglutely bastardlyshiting hideous, although it does whats required. I'd rather not have to hold my nose while making use of my harvests. Even the smell floating up from a stewing pan of pods is enough to make my stomach do backflips.

You need to be careful with poppies. They can actually kill you. We just had another death here.

Damn.

I am, though. And I am already opioid tolerant. I was originally just on codeine/dihydrocodeine, but I've been on oxycontin and oxynorm (instant release oxycodone) for years. The amount of pods it would take to kill me off...I'd probably vomit myself to the point of fatal dehydration before I could consume enough, with my opioid tolerance, before I could die. I doubt very much I COULD actually even commit suicide with the buggers, if I so desired (and don't worry, I have no such intent whatsoever)

I'm pretty used to poppy pods, grow them every year. I usually brew them into tea, but I think maybe I shall have to apply my lab skills and see if I can't precipitate the morphine (&associated minor alkaloids of course). First few handfuls of course, will be made into that godsawful tea, as all I've had today is a couple of bottles of codeine syrup. I hate being opioid dependent, but I'm faced with the choice of either that, and daily dosing of strong opioids, or walk. Even then, its with a cane. Just turned 26, I shouldn't HAVE to use help to walk, but thats how its gone, I'm stuck with it. Docs here are fucking stingy bastards with painkillers. One has to be dying of cancer or something similar to get IV morphine, or something similarly decent...So I have to source my own. I do get oxycontin, but 80mg/d isn't even close to enough.

I understand why you're doing it, just be careful. It's the morphine overdose that is killing people.

When I was 21 I was temporarily partially paralyzed from the waist down and in a wheelchair and no one could explain why. Woke up one morning unable to walk, was in immense pain, and had a massive seizure. This after being completely healthy. No doctor, no specialist could explain what happened but told my parents my body was slowly shutting down and I would die. So I totally get it.

In my case, things reversed and other than some minor side effects (short term memory loss and whatnot) I'm okay. Just have regular joint/muscle pains now.

Waiting to take a bath and curl up with Harry Potter for an early night.
