Sitting outside my kids tae kwon do class. Next door is a Baskin Robbins ice cream shop. 
This huge lady is eating this hide ice cream cone.  Not really eating it, more like making love to it.  I had to avert my eyes.

Just came from the hospital an hour ago.

I fell on Thursday and I thought I was OK, just bruised. Yesterday,during the night, the pain I was feeling really seemed to become unmanageable.

I tried for hours to find a way to sleep.  Finally, I had to admit that being off pain meds was not working.  I was fine for a week, until I fell on a metal folding chair.

At two AM, I went to the emergency room and sat to wait my turn after a gunshot and a major car accident. Finally, around five AM, I had my turn at one of the X-Ray machines.

They confirmed that I broke two of my lower ribs when I fell.

I have a center torso brace I will have to wear for a month or so. 

I really did not need this major setback in my recovery from hip surgery.

 

That's really bad luck.

Speedy recovery to you, my friend. You didn't need this.

It is almost like I am never again to finish healing!!



My hip is doing fine. I DID NOT HURT MY HIP!!

I am walking mostly without my cane and learning to  walk without a limp, except that one side will not comply, due to the lower two floating ribs.

I'm making a broth (again) at the moment. From a shank (calf) this time (plus herbs ofc. and leek, carrots, onion, celery, etc.). It will be ready in p/m one and half hour.

On my way towards the shower, now.

Broth turned out pretty nice (if I may say so myself). Made a bit of champignon soup from a little of the broth this evening and ate that 15 minutes ago (for dinner/tiz a tadski over seven o'clock here). Nowz a pizza is in the oven and that will be ready in five minutes.

Broth turned out pretty nice (if I may say so myself). Made a bit of champignon soup from a little of the broth this evening and ate that 15 minutes ago (for dinner/tiz a tadski over seven o'clock here). Nowz a pizza is in the oven and that will be ready in five minutes.

Errug lekker. Drie broden, een degelijk brood met havermout en kummel er in. En twee suikerbroodjes, eentje met kaneel en kandij, eentje met citroenrasp, kardemom, laos en kandij.
Baking bread is a great way to channel the energies of a kid frustrated by homework. Used to do it a lot when I was studying myself. Studying was easier, I had a workout, and, there was delicious bread as a reward on top of that.
