What about me and my reflux?  :-\

The doc didn't seem very willingly to let me have surgery for several reasons. I'm a bit hesitant myself, since you can never be sure of the outcome.

You need a hernia fixed, right?  Since the doctor doesn't want to approve the surgery, what does he suggest?  :-\

Eating PPI's, which doesn't really help more than partially. My esophagus seems to be perfectly undamaged, but it's nevertheless very exhausting with this sour taste and akward feelings in the long run.

I can have the surgery if I want to, but this doctor is one of the real experts on hiatal hernias. Other doctors have similar opinions too.

It isn't an allergy casanova, all opioids cause histamine release. I take an antihistamine with mine, although its not always completely effective, and some opiates cause more itching than others. My oxy doesn't really do it enough to bother me, but codeine is a right bugger for it.

My only allergies are to penicillins and presumably other beta-lactam antibiotics, and possibly, although unconfirmed a mild allergy to tetracyclines.
Hmm?  :apondering: I wonder if the NHS has ever taken a position on what antihistamines are indicated for?  :book:

Here it is http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Antihistamines/Pages/What-is-it-used-for.aspx Antihistamines are mainly used to help control symptoms of health conditions associated with allergic reactions. Well that certainly narrows to focus a bit.

What else are antihistamines used for Lestat?
According to the NHS article antihistamines are also used to treat stomach ulcers, insomnia and motion sickness.

Out of a) allergies b) stomach ulcers c) insomnia and d) motion sickness, which of those 4 conditions most closely resemble your stated symptoms as reason for wanting antihistamines?

Your quibbling over terms amounts to shaving shit off of a turd.

The shit hit the fan today. Or at least refused to go down the drain. I've been busy flushing pipes most of the afternoon and evening, but there's still something blocking the bloody thing.

Ideas, anyone?

Have you already run the snake through the pipes?

Yup. And a pressure washer with 15 metres of hose. Whatever is blocking the pipes is further away than that, somewhere near the pump that is supposed to keep things flowing away from the house. Makes me think that the pump has nothing to work on.

You mean there is no water in the pump?

Caustic soda is nasty. A dish washing detergent is usually better. The problem here is to apply it.
