Had to address my son's latest asshole behavior this morning just after becoming active, about 5AM. Decent sleep for me, but being treated like I was just in his way, while my son won't even learn to drive his own fucking car, still depending upon me to Daddy Taxi him everywhere, including to work at his meaningless job, I got a little put off.
I tried not to be too agressive (he is sensitive to agression, but can dish it out, although not take it when it comes his way), but I had to make a statement to the boy (twenty three now, bigger than I am, but acts like he's twelve at times).
He tried to apologize many times, but an empty apology with no intent to change is the same as nothing at all. I rejected his apologies until he can show a change in this behavior. It's not just me, BTW; he treats everyone this way lately.
He said, "Dad, your going to wake everyone in the house up!" I told him I was trying to wake HIM up. He can not keep on treating people this way!
He should be glad he's getting this admonition from a loving father instead of some guy at work who will just blacken his eyes and bust a hernia in his gut.
I could do all that (after my ribs heal), but I don't. He needs help with this new behavior and I'm at a loss to find an angle in to his mind.
