I think you may be right, Hopefully. I've had shortness of breath leading up to this for about two weeks. In the midst I got my third covid shot which could have made whatever it was worse. I'm thinking the worst of it being something cardiopulmonary related. OR related to the mould in the other office, which I coincidentally worked in today.

My voice is raspy today and the cough is quite wet/productive.

It's going to be awhile for the new job... I have to take an intake interview with the new job coach on Wednesday, then the next steps happen after that... Thursday is my last day at Walmart overall.

Except for some constantly annoying back pain which has been with me for years, there is nothing to bitch about today!

I'm calling it "one of the good days."

We've had really strong winds here and our back fence has been blown over. So has next door's. Also, our side gate came off its hinges at 2am and started flapping back and forth and making heaps of noise. I knew I wouldn't get any sleep with it like that so I pulled it closed and propped the recycling bin and a brick against it. It's been ok since but it needs fixing.

I'll have to call maintenance tomorrow but I'll bet they'll be getting calls from all over the place about storm damage. In the meantime, the cats can't go out with no fence there. They're going to be highly amused. Not.

I had not been thinking about this, then Carla brought it up.  At walmart, they have their "walmart radio".  where they play vacuous inane insipid songs punctuated by an occasional gem of an original pop/rock band.  But, they really reached rock bottom this time.  Carla asked me if I had heard, the remake of The Doors "People are strange."  And then I thought about it.  Then I "gagged" as I remembered it.  Yep, some band or singer, who shall remain forever nameless, does a remake of "People are strange".   And walmart "radio" plays it..........A LOT.  It sounds like it was recorded at a karaoke bar that's near closing time and almost empty.  It lacks any of the intricate notes that made the original a hit and one of my favorites.  The Jim Morrison vocal style, the Ray Manzarek keyboard/bass and the guitar styling of Robby Krieger.  It lacks a soul.  And THAT is a key component of the music I love.  If it has no soul, it's garbage to me.  <sigh>

Music is very close to whatever the hell God is! I believe in both.

I can applaud other's attempts to re-create the previous, but I don't have to like it.
Many of these re-do bands lose me.

Why would I think about working at Walgreens? It's a nice offer... but I'm looking for something where I feel comfortable getting off of SSI when I am ready.
