At work on some....well lets just say its an alternative to caffeine that agrees with me better, lasts longer and is a lot more effective at keeping people awake and motivated. And its hiding from me, not sure if its in the aqueous phase, a salted-out alcoholic phase, or the dichloromethane phase. Its somewhere, thats for sure.
Question is WHERE. Might just end up doing the rather neat trick used last time-takes hours of work down to about ten minutes plus cooling.
If it keeps being a pain in the arse I'll end up making another lot of the starting compound,
I'd sooner not have to, but might just set up the vacuum distillation rig and have at it that way. Dichlor will boil off in minutes, its just that there is also something rather nasty in the pot, and I'll have to purify it either way once I'm done distilling. Probably the way I'll go, along with making a new batch of the intermediate.
