  This coffee sucks.  I made it yesterday when I had only a few drops of half-and-half left, which I
  diluted with too much water, then I stored the coffee in the fridge overnight and added a bunch more
  half-and-half.  It's cold and fatty-tasting and I doubt it will wake me up.  I need to make a new cup! 

  *carefully sips*   Yes, this will work, it's warm and fresh.

Something I will occasionally do is to heat the water for coffee and just drink the hot water.  Warms me up without the caffeine late at night

  One of our residents used to drink hot water with just a few drops of milk in it.  I never saw the
   point of that.  If I wanted a hot drink    without caffeine, I would have some spicy tea from my hoard!
