Just came back from Sydney. Worst motel stay ever
I finished shopping at the Moore Park Supacentre and went for a (lost tourist like
) drive around the beaches and eastern suburbs (back tracked to La Perouse and came back north, for old time sake as my first BF's sister used to live down there). I come back to the motel and find there are no vacant car spots. On top of that someone has left their car in the drive circuit of the parking lot, so other guests had no choice but to park behind them, blocking in all the other cars. A guy tells me to just leave my car there as it's safer, and to leave my mobile no. on my car dash to ring if my car needs to be moved. Five minutes later I get a call. Everyone who had thier car in the driveway had to reverse out of the driveway onto the busy street and find a park elsewhere. So it comes to my turn to reverse out and it takes me a few tries to reverse out properly without hitting the poles on the side (was a very slender entryway and I'm still on my P's). I had some old guy "directing" me and insulting me for not being able to reverse out properly, which reduced me to tears. Then I had to deal with the heavy traffic as I was reversing out and got stuck, horns beeping. That made me pretty much meltdown yelling and crying. I stuck my finger up and yelled obscenities at the receptionist who was directing me to park at the front onstreet and went and found my own spot in a residential street around the corner. I walk back to the motel and bump into the old guy at the lift. He condescendingly asks me how I went getting my car out. I just tell him to fuck off at the top of my voice as I'm still really upset. I would have swung my knuckles at his throat but an assault charge wouldn't have made my trip any better.
I stayed in my room all night and skipped dinner. At least I got my new lounge ordered
. Thank heavens I'm back home where the traffic and people are a lot better.
