Having just a cold these days sucks even more than it used to

I'm tired of my psychologist changing appointment times on the day of the appointment. I'm probably going to have to hurry - Kayleigh has a GP appointment at 1:15pm and my appointment has been moved to 2:30pm. Hopefully Kayleigh's doctor is quick. Kayleigh likely has tonsillitis.

I don't like to make phone calls either. I prefer text on my mobile phone or emails (which I also get on my phone). There's been a trend lately for text communication with making appointments. That suits me fine.

My aunty messaged me and wanted to know if I'd like to go to Collie on Sunday to visit parents as it's Mum's birthday on Tuesday. I said I'd love to but I can't. See, I'd already said yes to my autistic client that I'd join him and all his other support workers for a gathering at Gosnells pub on Sunday afternoon.

Times like these I wish I could split myself in two.

Millers clothing store shuts at 4pm these days, not even open for Thursday night shopping. What trash.
I was trying to find a last minute xmas shirt for Saturday but came home with nothing. I like the feel of Millers t-shirt material, that's why I wanted one from there.

Seems like everything is closing early here as well. I went to a big box store the other day, at 6:00PM, with the kids to pic out color swatches for the paint they want to use in their new bedrooms and was surprised to find that they were closing in ten minutes.

So we grabbed a bunch of color swatches and left.

It is due to lack of staffing here.

...not sure about decent wages. A lot of these places are minimum wage at best, the same minimum wage which hasn't kept up with inflation properly for at least 20 years.
