Another leak in the roof cavity. This time in Kayleigh's room. It started pouring in there at about 11pm last night. A maintenance man came and stopped the leak but that's all they could do. A plumber is here now.

Partial restrictions for the unvaccinated have been announced starting Monday, then a grace period for the single dose people to get their second dose by 1 Nov.
The problem: I got my first dose of AZ 8 weeks ago in August, and it STILL won't be time for my second dose before 1 Nov rolls around.
I won't be allowed to turn up to work after Nov 1.
Back in August wasn't it the government themselves who told people to get whatever brand vaccine they could get?? In my case the pharmacies had just started doing walk-in AZ shots so I took one. The Pfizer was in short (super short!) supply back then.
So here I am getting restricted and penalised for doing the right thing. Meanwhile the vaccine snobs who waited for Pfizer in the past few weeks will be free to go about their business.

Here they're doing split vaccinations and there's some evidence it can be even more effective than two doses of the same thing. Is that a thing there?

No it's not approved, sadly. I mean, you technically could get a different vaccine for the second shot for the sake of being protected, but because that sort of thing is unapproved the vaccination record won't show you as double vaxxed.

Anyway there's another lady at work who is not getting vaccinated at all. She's a SDA so that's sort of par for the course with her. She's now forced to work from home till the start of December.

One or both of my cats had a 'mishap' while they were shut in my room this morning. There were tradies with loud power tools fixing my front window frame.
Now I can't find the source of the smell. I was hoping I wouldn't have to shampoo my 6 month old carpets before moving out :mad:
