  I will.  I already texted him a photo (admittedly poorly lit) of some weird splintering in the frame
  of the front door.  He never responded either to that or to my repeated messages about hall lights
  and the porch light needing new bulbs, but I will mention the ants if I can get his attention.

Bought a large assortment of knitting needles in a case at the thrift store last night.

I crochet, but I've never learned to knit...pulled up tutorials last night.

I'm beginning to think I should just re-sell these little fuckers.

Short or long needles? Got cases of long needles from my mother. But now that I taught myself knitting the continental way, I don't want to use the long needles anymore.

Circular needles or if need be short needles is what I will be using, nothing else.

Short, circular, a bunch of them. All bamboo from what I can see. Some still in the wrapper.

Those needles look good. Can't read or recognise all the brands. Addi is a top brand.

I learned to knit on really long metal needles.

"Very Pink Knits" is pretty good with tutorials. Her basic knitting tutorial is not in continental style. It is easier to start the English way, because it shows more clear what you are doing with the yarn. Helps to understand how to "read" the knitting.

First it will be a hassle with some language fit for a lady with double pointed objects in her hands.
 But if you spend five to ten minutes daily, it will grow on you fast enough. Soon you'll be able to do it without even watching.

Thanks Hyke!! Her tutorials look sooo much better than what I pulled up last night while trying to learn to cast on. 

Maybe there is hope yet. 

Some brands in there I know like Boye & Addi...others are Clover, & Crystal Palace.

I figured they were well worth the $2.00 they were asking for the lot of them anyways.

$2 is an absolute bargain for those.

If the knitting won't work, you're in for some nice profit, selling the pairs / sets separately.

Just check their original prices.
