Dell's DC connector sucks. What were they thinking?
Stay away from Toshiba as well.
(Of course, that generally goes without saying, but they are SO affordable, compared to a high quality product.)
I have had decent service out of upper grade HPs, lately, and it seems as if Sony has vastly improved their game over past years.
My Dell laptop is quite good, otherwise, but that connector is really bad. They should learn from Apple.
... or better, yet, Microsoft.
The tablet I bought my wife (Surface Pro) does not have any sort of "plug" style charging port. It has a magnetic connection, just two small, flat surfaces that attract each other and it charges. No repetitive work damage or wear and tear to either surface.
Fucking brilliant!
They should ALL adapt this method.
