Uggh....I am SO fed up with my knee issues.

ATM its flaring up something awful. Can't put any weight on it at all.

:plus:    for a literal-thinking approach that led to a funny post!

Actually, I did. Multiple times. I shopped at a warehouse. Brand name stuff, amazing prices. But you're only given a bright red garbage bag to put your stuff in as you shop. No carts. I buy so many books that it got heavy. I kept dropping the bag

Why, thank you.  It does hold up better alongside the larger smilies.

Thinking.. I should buy an 'exercise' book for drawing and collect nice, funny, remarkable, beautiful, inspirational, etc. pictures I find in my newspaper, the magazines I read, folders/prospectuses, what have you..

I already have cut out and 'collected' quite a few but never filed them properly.. they're just here and there and I occasionally bump into them ad random. Such a 'book', where I, via sticky tape, put the pictures would be a good idea, I reckon. Maybe make a comment about them here and there too.

Yep yep.. good idea. I have to search for a present for my niece Charlotte anyway tomorrow and think I'm going to buy me such a literally clean sheeted book (A4 or bigger even) as well.

Any ideas what I should/could purchase for my niece, who turns 11 y/o tomorrow, are welcome, btw.

Bugger....I thought I had some acetic anhydride. I need some for a beckmann rearrangement. I COULD substitute it with sulfuric acid, but my substrate contains a pretty touchy functional group that H2SO4 is likely to cleave open.

I've always kept scrapbooks like that. I find them relaxing to look through.

for your Niece..what sorts of things does she like? My neighbours daughter is the same age and I got her a craft kit to make her own scrapbook of pictures with her friends and whatnot. It was a big hit. A photo album, colourful paper, stickers, markers etc. Came all as one kit. Scrapbooking is very popular here.

^ Yes, scrapbooks can be fun and relaxing. I was also thinking inspirational.. for a drawing or, who knows, a painting even.. or furniture maybe.

Still haven't bought one though and 'idemly' not something for my niece. Loathe that type of shopping, totally. Especially without s/o's wish-list.

Think scrapbooking is quite popular here also.. it is something she likes doing as well.. and ja, she already has loads of that type of creative stuff. Um, that's part of my problem.. she's quite quite spoiled presents-wise and to come up with something original is kinda making it harder to get a present. Blahiah.. but with Sinterklaas (Dec. 5th) and Christmas coming up she probably will get over 50 presents (incluis birthday) in total. Fartin' madness, imo.

Thanks for the tip though (of course).

It's one thing if my cat catches a mouse and kills it. Or if he chases it into a corner and let's me catch it and its completely alive. But it's a whole new deal if he paralyzes it in the back end and the damn thing is half dead.  :GA:

I couldn't figure out why he kept meowing at me so I finally followed him into the other room and saw the poor thing laying there. He kept nudging it with his nose (and it squeaked in pain) as if to say "How come it won't play with me anymore." To which I responded "he can't play with you because you broke him!!" :P

Did you love your cat up to show appreciation for the present? I always did when Guinevere gave me a mouse.
