BTW, how do you know if someone is ignoring you?  I could tell before, but I'm not sure now.

Before, the ignore function was an external mod. Now the function is part of SMF. I have to admit, I don't know how to check who ignores whom.

I don't think that we can check someone else's ignore list now.

I really prefer to have the ignore status private.  That way the possibility of hurt feelings is lessened.  Sometimes I want to put someone on ignore for a "silly, personal" reason for just a short while.  If they don't know about it then I don't have to explain it to them. 

(And I can continue my delusion that I am beloved by all here.)
