But it is hard enough to get one person inside an MRI machine, let alone two. How would that work? In my experience, an MRI machine was like a really small tunnel.
Maybe MRI machines come in different sizes, and they used a jumbo version. I'm sure that two people could have fit into the machine that I was scanned with, with enough room to spare to allow for thrusting.

No I don't think so, heh. Although it would help that the people operating the machine would be out of the room while the experiment was running.
pyraxis - we have the small version here I think, as my friend who is very overweight had an MRI and had to stretch her arm over her head otherwise she wouldn't have fit into the scanner. I did wonder how they would fit her in as I remember how small the scanner was from when I had an MRI years ago.
