Prolly ought to add that I'm seeing my doctor next month (annual phsycial) and am going to be going in with a LIST of what's been going on, and say "Give me opinions.  Draw my blood.  Poke and prod to your heart's content.  Then please ffs give me some idea of what's wrong and how to fix it."

(Waiting till then because, well, my insurance covers physicals but not "sick visits," and these are chronically shitty symptoms but not much in the way of acute/I can last until dec 1.)

Wondering if it's normal to have your face, eyes and lips swell up when you're crying, as badly as mine do.

I suppose it might be normal if you cry for hours.  ???

Or you might be allergic to the tissues you are using ...

This might actually be a symptom, and worth reporting at your appointment!  :nerd!:

I was crying for a long time.  But by the end it looked like I had a rash toward the center of my upper and lower lip.

Yeah, it might be worth reporting that next month, it might be a clue.  :chin:

Or if not, then accept that your body must have needed the rest.
...if my body needed the rest, can it please feel RESTED?  At some point?  Some day?  EVER?

I woke up feeling like I had a fever again- no other symptoms though except my body temp felt off, I felt exhausted, I felt disoriented and all fucked up mentally.

I get flushing in my face/neck/head that causes a burning sensation when I have my episodes, and also chills and shivering in the rest of my body.  I can feel like I'm running a low fever for weeks at a time, although the thermometer says otherwise, so I think it's to do with peripheral blood flow rather than being a core body temperature issue.  I also get the inability to feel rested from rest thing at times, although I've been okay recently, and disorientation and general mental dysfunction are typical during my episodes.

Been there, done something similar.  Hopefully I won't need to get poked and prodded again, and my next visit to the neurologist will consist of something along the lines of being told "You have x.  Take medication y", but I doubt I'll be that lucky.

It has been quite a while since I cried like that, but I think that rash is pretty normal from the salt of the tears and runny nose.  I used cold cream on mine and it got better pretty quickly.

Is this a cream for colds, or a cold dairy product along the lines of the vaginal yoghurt?

This is what I used, but I think that another brand (other than Noxema) might be OK too:

I've just Googled Noxzema and learned that the active ingredients are eucalyptus,
menthol and camphor.  Maybe it's too harsh for sensitive skin.  :nerd!:

Noxema's fine as a general cleanser and it washes away clean, unlike some other cold creams, but if you put it on sensitive skin that has been irritated from crying it will burn like fire and it won't soothe the skin.
