Second thoughts, just eating will do for now. My bad leg is hurting something fierce, even an IV dose of oxy hasn't really made much of a dent in it tonight. Although roasting my leg in the oven for a while with the door a little ajar has provided a little relief.
The carbon tetrachloride can wait. Seeing as I have to go all the way from the very most basic of basic start points (acetone->haloform reaction w/ hypochlorite bleach to give chloroform, then UV-photocatalytic irradiation of chloroform whilst a current of chlorine gas is passed through it to give carbon tet) and the lab is FREEZING cold. I can't even go in there right now without my leg starting to scream its protests and starting shivering like crazy. No thanks. Not right now. I'm tired, I'm hurting and the rest of me aches too. I think tonight I'm going to bed early, going to take a couple of very, very strong sleepers, turn up the central heating and curl up in bed.
The triphenylphosphine thats waiting to be reacted with c-tet can wait its turn, and freeze its bollocks off on my lab shelves a little longer, it isn't going anywhere. (Doing an Appel reaction, on pseudoephedrine, to produce a chloroephedrine)
