I really prefer to have the ignore status private. That way the possibility of hurt feelings is lessened. Sometimes I want to put someone on ignore for a "silly, personal" reason for just a short while. If they don't know about it then I don't have to explain it to them. (And I can continue my delusion that I am beloved by all here.)
