Post what you are thinking right now, part two

I am proud of my nephew and his eldest.

My "favorite nephew"  has a son of voting age and the son has taken his first wild boar this past weekend while bowhunting. I am not that much into the whole bow thing, fully equipped for any part of North or South America using my array of hunting rifles (maybe not Africa, but for buffalo, which are edible, but a ton of meat won't fit in my freezers) just never taken enough interest in bowhunting to have confidence like with my rifles.

Around here, the average boar is around 120 - 135 pounds. His was only field dressed and weighed in at 111 pounds. Now you can expect the "average tub of pig guts" to weigh twenty five to forty pounds and taking a bit of "my story has to be better than yours" into the report, my grandnephew took a larger than average hog on his first attempt.

I'm proud of the kid. He's doing it. He will be able to feed a  future family from the land.

I am SO Jealous  (but mostly, PROUD!)  of the bow abilities.

My grand nephew sent me a half a pork butt, by another uncle. Not sure why they call it "butt."  It's a shoulder roast. That and two pounds of ground pork ...  I can see a batch of chili in our future!

It's not that hard to look for dried mangoes anymore... the Aldis in my area carry them... and the ones I appreciate the most in my life are the Filipino Mangos and Pakistani/Indian ones.

Aldi here has dried mangoes also, they're a favourite snack of mine.

Mangoes are good in general... no matter if dried or not.

I have a yet-to-be-written report in the back of my mind, one that I need to complete by tomorrow evening. While the topic and conclusions are both uncomplicated, at least in my mind, the fact that I'm doing it for a friend means that the report needs to be good.

I've spent most of the day researching it.

Somebody dumped a bag of glass fiber insulation on the side of the road 2 weeks ago.  ASSHOLES.  So after 2 weeks I come home from work, shove it in my trunk and throw it in a dumpster at a nearby condo site owned by the same company as our landlords own.  NO REGRETS!

Yeah, somebody's gotta be the "people for that". 

There are many awaiting entry on the southern border. Just need to speed things up a LOT.

I think it is more the overly simplistic labeling that bothers me the most. The fact that some people still think they are so above average that they can look down on others.  Sometimes their classism is so endemic to certain communities ... I have a hard time with it.

Now, understand that I am not warning you of some kind of upcoming response to this degree of stress, but I have to admit that sometimes I look down upon those people.

Does that make me the same?

Kind of fun being in a family of really great "arguers."  My daughter and I were doing our daily spit and hiss, trying to work together in the kitchen when I said I didn't mean to start a pissy cat howling.

My daughter said, "Then why are you pulling its tail?"

She wins!    

I love her brain!


Recently met some of my wife's old friends from way, WAY back. They live away and contact was mostly email or Facebook for a couple of years. The other dad looks at me and told me she is a knock-out! I said, yeah, you probably had no idea that we were in so much trouble, did you?

My daughter is a Natural Force yet to come to realization of the POWER she wields. I love her so damn much!!

Carla and I call it the "hamster wheel" of thoughts.  Most often occurring at 3-4 am.
