I can't think. I hate Wednesdays. :P

I see where your week is heading.

I love The Cure. And that is by far my favourite song of theirs.

No disrespect to their other classics. Friday I'm In Love never even made Rolling Stone's top ten.

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-lists/readers-poll-the-10-best-cure-songs-162300/boys-dont-cry-93893/

It's not one of their best pieces of music, but it's cheery nature is uplifting.  It's an ear worm.

Listened to Three Imaginary Boys yesterday, for the first time in a couple of decades.  Considering it was their first album and came out in 1979, it's still a really good album.

I have a bass guitar next to my work desk and a couple of times a day I take a break, put on some Cure at random and play along for a few songs.  It keep smy fingers exercised and stops me from getting bored.

(When I say "a bass guitar" I mean two Steinbergers and an 80s Squire with some Fender hardware, and a refurbed Laney Linebacker.)

Love Cure basslines (and post-punk basslines in general - Peter Hook in particular)

Favourite Cure basslines are Primary and A Forest.  :2thumbsup:

I can't find anything for a recall in Australia. It's a Simpson branded one I've had for 7-8 years :blonde:

It's usually good when it lasts that long, can't even get mine to last that long.  :zombiefuck:

Ours almost gave up the ghost but $$$ nurtured it back to health.

My cheap ass Haier washing machine is over 9 years old now. I remember when I bought it the sales guy at Harvey Norman said "see you in 12 months time for a new one", well look at me now sucka :hahaha:
I've been very fortunate with my appliances, I haven't needed to replace anything since I first moved out on my own.

I've had to replace a washing machine (it stopped spinning) and a tv twice. Kayleigh bought the tv we have now, it's a Sony and it's enormous.

When my wife and I got married we bought a Mielle washing machine and it lasted for 18 years with no issues at all - although it did start to smell fusty towards the end.  We went to buy another btu the Mielles were around £1200 - and we didn't have that lying around.  So we bought a Bosch for about £480 and so far (had it 3 years?) it's been fine.

What I would advise is that buying cheap washing machines is a short term economy.  Buy the best one you can.

Why do I always find out when I'm next going to work at the very very last minute? Literally just a days notice.

Now as I've said a few times before, there's a lockdown here on Thursday. Out of the restaurant job again most likely.

It's been a struggle for real.
