Why does it seem almost impossible to adopt a cat around here? It's like, you meet one you really like but then it's gone by the time you've finished thinking about adopting it :zombiefuck:

I'm almost tempted to get one from the RSPCA's in other towns (if the black & white one I liked is gone that is)
Go to Canadia and order one from CG.

If Canada was a car day trip away I would. Unfortunately CG's kitty kats are over 10,000km away

And they'd have to be quarantined for a month before I could bring them home.

Thinking that cops could rape babies live on national news and people would still come out of the woodwork to defend them, saying that the babies were dirty hippies/terrorists, the cops have such stressful, dangerous jobs that it's perfectly ok for them to blow off some steam and that the video footage doesn't show the whole story and unfairly casts the police in a bad light.

All these years and I always though Jeremy by Pearl Jam was about an autistic kid :scratchhead:

I thought Jeremy was just neglected by his parents and bullied by his classmates,
I never gave any thought to a particular diagnosis.  Have you learned for a fact that
the song is not about an autistic kid?  Maybe you're right after all.  :chin:

Well the real Jeremy who inspired the song (and who did indeed shoot himself in front of class) could have been undiagnosed

But yeah, now that I've researched it, just sad and neglected by his parents.

I'm not sure I'd heard that the song was inspired by a real kid.  :orly:

Should I activate it? It might take affect the board's performance.

I'm trying hard not to. I dunno how to do that, tho. So, instead of thinking about what I am avoiding, I am thinking about keys instead. One key in particular.

Not solely on my wish for it, I'd say.

And another thing.. I think the moving smileys here are the dominant factor for the board to act slower. Really do. When I type (or copy paste) stuff in the to post box my CPU goes from p/m 6% (normally) to 20% usage. When I open 'more' in the new window it goes even to a higher percentage. Not a buff in IT corner but that's my hunch.

Maybe an idea to not have as many moving smileys above the to post box. Dunno.

They might affect the performance at your end but I doubt they do much at the server.
