To do hyperlinks, you can use the icon above the posting box that looks like a globe with a sheet of paper on it or you can type:

Which would give you a hyperlink to Intensity's homepage:

We must have been composing our posts at the same time, but Semicolon is obviously faster than I am.  I wonder how I missed seeing his reply before I posted mine?  We even picked the same page to hyperlink to.

Our links don't lead to the same page. Yours leads to the HTML home page, while mine leads to the forum index.

The format is:

Code: [Select]

[url=Link]Text[/url]

Where Link is the full URL of the web page you are linking to, and Text is what text you would like to be linked. For example, if I wanted to link to the I2 home page (http://www.intensitysquared.com/), and I wanted the text of that link to say "I2 Home Page", I would write the following code:

Code: [Select]

[url=http://www.intensitysquared.com/]I2 Home Page[/url]

The link would show up like this: I2 Home Page

How did you get that line of code?

This is frustrating me as I am doing other frustrating work for an assignment.

I used that icon that looks like a # above the post box.  When you hover your mouse cursor over it, it says "Insert Code" and when you click it, you get:

Code: [Select]

When you hover the mouse cursor over the globe icon, it says "Insert Hyperlink" and if you click it, you get:

[url][/url]

So if you want to make a word or a few words become a link, you can use the globe icon but put the website URL after the first url and an "=" sign, then put the word you want to be a hyperlink in the middle of the [url=] and the [/url].

So you would say, for example, [url=http://www.intensitysquared.com/]Homepage[/url] and you would get:

Homepage

This time, I put a character into the urls to make them not work the first time so you can see what the code looks like.

I have learnt all this from GA before but it doesn't sink in. At least I know where to come back to if I want to learn this again.
